Cleaning a Quooker Tap

Our goal is to keep your tap in pristine condition at all times. Since each finish requires its own unique care, we've provided tailored cleaning instructions below:

Polished Chrome, Stainless Steel, Nickel, and Gold
For these finishes, use a soft cloth dampened with either glass cleaner or water. Instead of spraying directly on the tap, lightly mist the cloth and then wipe the surface. Be sure to dry the tap immediately after cleaning.

Patinated Brass
Clean using only warm water and a soft cloth—avoid alcohol-based cleaning products, as they can damage the finish. For extra protection, you may apply a thin layer of beeswax every 3 to 6 months. Always dry the tap promptly after use and cleaning.

Black, Gunmetal, and Rose Copper
For these finishes, use only warm water and a soft cloth. Do not use alcohol-based cleaners, as they may harm the finish. Dry the tap immediately after cleaning.

General Advice
We strongly advise against using cleaning agents like descaling products, abrasives, or scouring sponges, as these can damage the protective coating and the grease that ensures smooth operation. Additionally, cleaners containing carbon compounds—such as isopropanol, alcohol, or ethanol—should be avoided, as they can also harm the finish.
