2. Scope and Applicability
These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders, and agreements made via the Tap-Stars website.
By placing an order, the customer agrees to these Terms & Conditions.
Tap-Stars sells both products and related services. These may be offered separately or in combination.
3. Products and Services
Tap-Stars offers:
· Boiling water tap systems
· Filtration and water treatment solutions
· Accessories
· Optional installation services
Products may be sold:
· Individually
· As complete systems (e.g. tap, tank, filtration units)
Installation services are provided as a separate service, even when purchased together with a product.
Tap-Stars operates as an independent seller and is not the official representative of brands such as Quooker in France or Monaco.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are listed in euros (€) and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
Payment is due immediately at checkout via the available payment methods.
Orders are only processed after successful payment.
Travel and service-related costs (such as installation visits) are not included unless explicitly stated and may be charged separately.
5. Delivery and Installation
5.1 Delivery
Products are delivered to the address provided by the customer.
Delivery times are indicative and not guaranteed.
Risk transfers to the customer upon delivery.
5.2 Installation Services
Installation is a separate service and may be scheduled during or after checkout.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that:
· sufficient space is available
· electrical and plumbing connections are compliant
· the installation site is accessible and ready
If installation cannot be completed due to site conditions, Tap-Stars reserves the right to:
· charge a service or rescheduling fee
· invoice additional work if required
6. Right of Withdrawal (Returns)
Customers have the right to withdraw from the purchase of products within 30 days of delivery.
Conditions:
· Products must be unused and in original condition
· Returns must be initiated within the withdrawal period
Exclusions
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
· Installation services once performed
· Products that have been installed or used
· Custom or made-to-order products
7. Returns and Refunds

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
Refunds are processed within 14 days after receipt and inspection of the returned product.
8. Warranty and Complaints
All products are covered by the applicable legal warranty under EU law.
Tap-Stars remains the first point of contact for any warranty claim and will coordinate with suppliers where necessary.
Customers must report defects within a reasonable timeframe after discovery.
9. Liability
Tap-Stars is not liable for:
· improper installation by third parties
· incorrect use or maintenance
· damage caused by water quality issues (e.g. limescale, lack of filtration or softening, or an improperly maintained water softener)
Tap-Stars is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.
Liability is limited to the value of the purchased product or service.
10. System Use and Water Conditions
The performance and lifespan of water systems depend on local water quality.
In regions such as the South of France, high mineral content may affect performance.
Customers are responsible for ensuring appropriate water treatment solutions are in place where necessary.
Where a water softener is required or recommended, the customer is responsible for ensuring it is correctly sized, correctly set, and properly maintained (including regular salt refills, periodic servicing, and timely replacement of consumables where applicable).
11. Complaints
Complaints must be submitted in writing via email.
Tap-Stars will respond within 14 days of receipt.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law.
Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in France.
13. Electronic Communication
All electronic communication (email, confirmations, quotations) is subject to these Terms & Conditions.
In case of conflict, these Terms & Conditions prevail unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
